The ACHERON HIGH LIGHTNING was one of several ships scrapped after damage sustained in the Solomani Rim War (990 to 1002). Individual modular sections of the ship were retained and transferred to several outpost worlds after the war. The sections then served as monitoring or scientific outposts in the rimward worlds of the Solomani Rim sector.
