Author’s Notes
for Asmodeus (Querion 0512)

This write-up is based on campaign notes reaching back to the ’80s. As such, it does not generally incorporate material from later publications (GURPS:Traveller, etc.). This is not a comment on GT, it’s just that this material wasn’t available when these notes were first developed.

Because it is from my campaign, it uses MegaTraveller rules (where applicable) and is set in the ‘classic’ era. However, I have started to introduce aspects from Traveller 5. Although it is set ‘IMTU’, I have tried to match all GDW canon sources I could find.

Astute readers may recognise the description of the warbots as being that of the Daleks from the Doctor Who TV series. More specifically Doctor Who and The Daleks (which was remade as a film with Peter Cushing). The blue, red, and black Daleks were featured in the film version (the TV series being only B&W at the time). On the other hand, readers who rely on that story only may be caught out: there are more than three different types, and they are not restricted to the city only!
