| 20th Cen. PI | A Zhurphani colony expedition, formed by dissident pacifists fleeing Theta Borealis in STL sleeper ships, is marooned on Yori. While high tech relics left over from the colony ship abound, new production by survivors is only TL 2. |
| 17th Cen. PI | The colony balkanizes and a protracted period of wars begin. However, this kick-starts industrialisation and the TL rises to 3. |
| 15th Cen. PI | As mechanisation (TL 4) begins to take hold, many turn to the obscure Wakshe religion/philosophy (believed passed down from the original colonists). Wakshe Advisors help broker peace deals and bring an end to war. |
| 14th Cen. PI | 800 Vilani colonists arrive from offworld. They boost the TL of numerous Scarland states. |
| -1147 | In the Montierra region of Scarland, merchant Lem Rogan uses steam-driven iron boats to transport goods long the Yea-ka River. (Due to lack of wood, prior to this only low-capacity reed sail boats existed.) Lem Rogan builds a trade empire based from Devil’s Fork. |
| 10th Cen. PI | The trade hub at Devil’s Fork becomes a city state and flourishes. TL is now 5. |
| -792 | The “Revelation of A’chim”. A Wakshe prophet reveals the A’chim Papers—which allegedly predate colonisation—unifying many of the Wakshe sects. |
| -704 to -723 | Lord Margas Harrat, current ruler of the Montierran trade empire, reinforces the keep at Devil’s Fork (now called Rokan Castle after Lem Rogan). Huge cannons range across the waters and a tithe on all passing trade is imposed. Production becomes bound to powerful guilds and innovation is stifled. |
| -639 | Secular forces try to exploit religious divisions and break the power of Wakshe. Monkish order of Krohm created. Afterwards, the Council of Advisors concludes that internal divisions must stay internal. |
| -638 | The arrival of the “16 Maji” (thought to be the crew of a Vargr merchant ship). They crash and are given sanctuary by the northern city state of Bon-Fargoa. Bon-Fargoa gains a TL advantage (TL 6) over rest of planet (TL 5) but results in civil war with the other northern tribes. |
| -372 | Change in dominant Wakshe god causes fall of the Lords of Devil’s Fork. The fortress is abandoned and war is averted. |

| 1st Cen. PI | Frequent skirmishes between desert tribes. |
| -7 | Wakshe Advisors broker a broad coalition of southern tribes (the Order of Orlot) ending the conflicts. |
| 75 | Settlement of nearby star system of Regina by the Imperium begins. Trade with Imperials starts soon after. |
| 160 | Trade with the Imperium fuels tribal rivalry leading to perennial skirmishes. The Order of Orlot threatens to collapse. |
| 232 | A routine IISS expedition identifies a rich exploitable mineral region on Yori. The team’s linguist, Joseph Hemdian, though fresh from the Imperial core, is able to negotiate mining concessions for Imperial companies. |
| 238 | Joseph Hemdian is detached from the Scouts, is Knighted, and becomes an Imperial Ambassador to Yori. A number of colonists destined for Regina choose Yori instead. |
| 246 | Yori joins the Imperium. Sir Hemdian is made first Baron of Yori. Although there is no central government, Hemdian works through the Wakshe Advisors ... ‘recognising’ them as the defacto higher authority. |
| 249 | Baron Hemdian is killed in tribal raiding. Having no heir, the position ‘temporarily’ falls to the Baron of Regina. The inter-tribal skirmish becomes a protracted war. |
| ca. 300 | The Order of Orlot transforms from a coalition into a more centrally controlled empire. The city of Big Rock Mountain is founded as the capital of the empire and the centre of the Wakshe religion. |
| 313 | An Ancient site is discovered in the Septimus Sea (a desert). |
| 320-340 | A high capacity monorail is built from Scarland to Soft Spot. The monorail has to cross open desert (with frequent dust storms), treacherous badlands, and descend 5400 meters onto the floor of Scarland. The Scarland terminus is called ‘Market’ and a town quickly develops. |
| ca. 370 | The Great Plague of Jeldon kills 12% of Yori’s population over a 3 year period. The secular government of the Order of Orlot proves incapable of handling the crisis. Wakshe Advisors take over and reform the empire as a pro-science theocracy. |
| 424 | Emperor Martin III reorganizes the Spinward Marches but declines to name a new Baron for Yori. Feeling this snub is a result of a unified world government the Bon-Fargoan city state enters an expansionist phase and begins conquering the surrounding northern tribes. |
| 490-498 | Northern tribes under Fargoanese domination, rebel. |
| 498 | Bon-Fargoa falls to desert raiders. This marks the start of a period of anti-militarism that lasts more than half a millennium. |
| ca. 500 | The northern tribes join their southern counterparts in the Order of Orlot. The Order of Orlot renames itself as just ‘The Order’. |
| 552 | Emperor Jerome reorganizes the Marches again, making Rhylanor a duchy and Regina a county under Rhylanor. The Count of Regina retains the title of Baron of Yori. |
| 560 | The Refali Mim Doctrine (named after a Senior Advisor). The remaining independent countries of Yori (primarily in Scarland) are persuaded to join the Order, which is renamed as the Yori Planetary Government. While at the same time declaring ‘ever weakening ties to the Imperium’. The new government stops short of actually succeeding from the Imperium. This pro-neutral position ensures minimal engagement during the two Frontier Wars and the Civil War to come. |
| 589-622 | Imperial war years. The First Frontier War, the Imperial Civil War, and the Second Frontier War. There is negligible effect on Yori. |

| 629 | Empress Arbellatra creates the Duchy of Regina. The Duke of Regina retains the title of Baron of Yori. |

| 783 | The Second Plague of Jeldon sweeps the planet. Rapid immunisation programs, administered via religious Khroms, keep the death toll to under 3% of the total population and the crisis is over within a year. |
| 800-826 | The Psionic Suppressions. Following Imperial orders, the Psionics Institute (in Market) is closed down. Several senior officials of the Institute are deported to Regina. When the Psionics Studies department at Hemdian University is also closed down there are brief but passionate student protests. |
| ca. 900 | The township (later to become a city) of Baxter is founded. |
| 979-986 | Third Frontier War. A number of refugees fleeing the conflict shelter on Yori. |
| 994 | A major reshuffle of the Duchy of Regina follows the Third Frontier War Peace Settlement. Many of the refugees from the war who settled on Yori become permanent inhabitants. |
